    • Wisco Golf Addict Interview

By Ross Plank May 30, 2024 21 comments

    Who Is Wisco Golf Addict?

Wisco Golf Addict (WGA) is a highly regarded golf review website dedicated to providing in-depth reviews of golf courses, destinations, and equipment.

Founded by Paul Seifert, the site offers detailed insights and assessments aimed at helping golfers make informed decisions.

The site has gained a strong following due to its thorough and honest reviews, often highlighting both strengths and potential areas for improvement in the products they test.

In this interview, Paul and Troy Giljohann - a contributing writer for WGA and former college golfer - offer their thoughts on the emerging electric caddie market, as well as giving their honest thoughts on Stewart's core range.
Golfing fanatic, photographer, and Stewart Golf ambassador, Patrick Koenig, recently smashed the world record for the number of golf courses played in a year (580 to be exact), but the most impressive part may be that for the majority of these rounds, he walked.

From teeing off his RGV Tour at Monarch Beach, to sinking a two-footer for par on the 18th at Chambers Bay, Koenig completed 580 rounds at different 18-hole courses, spanning across 40+ US states.

Speaking on his world record, Koenig revealed that of the 580 courses played, he had walked at least 70% of them, accompanied by ‘Stewie’, his trusty Stewart Golf Q Follow electric trolley. The previous record stood at 449, a record that Koenig surpassed on October 17th.

“I love to walk, and I always prefer to walk,” said Koenig. “I like rolling with my guy Stewie. You definitely feel like you accomplish more. Everybody takes a cart here and there, at least in America, but when you’re rocking with Stewie and you’re done, you’re like ‘oh yeah, that was a good 18!’.

Throughout his challenge, Koenig continued his work as a professional golf course photographer, swapping the clubs for a camera between shots. Having Stewie following behind at all times also allowed Koenig to be completely handsfree, giving him the freedom to get those all-important snaps.

“Walking a golf course is probably 5-10 times more immersive than getting in a cart. As a photographer, walking the course takes me to places and angles that I might not see if I’m in a cart. I love to walk over riding, that’s for sure.”

Golf Monthly put the VERTX Remote through its paces, against a couple of its market rivals.

The latest model to roll out of the Stewart factory, how did the VERTX Remote trolley perform versus its rivals?

It's been a busy period in the remote electric trolley market. New models have been launched from pretty much every electric trolley brand out there and the innovations in this space have been coming thick and fast, all offering golfers a new remote experience throughout 2023 and into 2024. Dan Parker, writer and head equipment reviewer at Golf monthly, was interested to see how the VERTX could cement Stewart's place atop the remote trolley standings.

    Thoughts On Stewart

Wisco Golf Addict has reviewed each of Stewart Golf's electric carts, including the Q-Follow, X10 Follow and the VERTX Remote. Their experiences highlight the advanced technology and user-friendly design that Stewart Golf is known for.

    Stewart X10 Follow

Wisco praise the X10 for its simplicity and ease of use. It requires no assembly, and its intuitive design allows for quick setup and operation. The cart is noted for its stability, even on uneven terrain, and the follow mode is highly responsive, making it a favourite among users looking for a hands-free experience on the golf course. Despite its larger size, it is manageable and offers impressive power and quiet operation, enhancing the overall golfing experience.

    Stewart Q-Follow

The Q-Follow is recognised as one of the most compact and portable units, ideal for golfers with limited boot space. It features the 7th generation follow technology, offering exceptional reliability and ease of use. The cart's compact size does not compromise its performance; it handles various terrains with ease and provides smooth, dynamic braking.

    Stewart VERTX

The VERTX is lauded for its sleek design and advanced features, such as Active Terrain Control (ATC), which adjusts power output for consistent movement across different terrains. It does not have follow technology, but excels in remote control functionality, offering quiet operation and excellent stability. The VERTX's long-lasting battery life and compact foldable design make it a practical choice for many golfers.

    • AI has caused me more problems than it has solved. I was connected to a cryptocurrency trader through AI and lost my hard-earned money to a scam. If it weren’t for the assistance of Lord Meduza, whom my sister-in-law recommended to me, I wouldn’t have been able to win the $435 MILLION Mega Millions Lottery. My life could have taken a drastic turn due to the overwhelming bills I faced after being cheated by the crypto traders. Lord Meduza utilized his extraordinary spell powers to determine the perfect six numbers I needed to win the Mega Millions Lottery, and I followed his instructions to play those numbers. I am incredibly thankful for the support, love, and kindness he has shown, which is beyond measure.
