Lower Bungee (Q & VERTX)

The bungee on my Stewart electric cart snapped in the middle of a round. It was starting to fray but seemed fine to use, but when it broke my bag fell off and the cart turned over. It was a major wipeout. For a product of this price and overall quality, it seems like this "weakest link" should be more durable, or a spare should be included in the original shipment. The fact that the bespoke replacement was $20 with a $10 mailing fee felt harsh, when I paid over $2k for the cart in the first place. And as another reviewer pointed out, the replacement came without any instructions or even a QR code to an installation video. This is not a simple fix, given the number of screws that have to be taken out and the care you have to take to reinstall everything in the exact same order. It seems that leaving this to a random YouTube video that you find by Googling does not match with the overall reputation for quality and customer service that Stewart has built its brand on. I eventually figured it out, but it was a lengthy process that involved several wrong turns. I am very glad to have an original replacement bungee, as the hack I developed with a household bungee cord was really difficult to set up each time I put my bag on the cart and to disassemble at the end of each round. But the cost, both of the bungee and shipping, as well as the lack of instructions make it hard for me to give this a higher rating. Hopefully the new strap will last at least 4 or 5 years.

The bungee broke after eighteen months. My thinking is that it should have been more durable. Given the part (a large, thick rubber band) the replacement bungee was expensive and the shipping cost was as well. I needed a YouTube video to understand how to replace it. The task was pretty straight forward, but far too many steps and screws to remove. Should the bungee break in the future, as I am certain it will, my plan is to replace it with a combination of two eye bolts and an appropriately sized bungee cord with hooks.

I will start by saying that my golf bag does not fit well on my Stewart electric cart and when I replaced the bottom bungee, it broke after the 7th hole. I would like Stewart to work on getting a thicker and stronger bungee as well as fixing how some golf bags fit at the top. I am not using my electric cart because of this issue.

Easy fix, too expensive

My order initially went to the wrong address due to my error. I left one message for Stewart Golf and they had it picked up from the wrong address and got it delivered to me at the correct address for no additional charge.
